Hi All.
In my network, some users can read the word file but can not see the images (only see red cross instead). I have tested in my PC and it fails depending on the user used to log on. It seems to be a problem about rights but I can not see the the path for the image (if linked); perhaps it is embbeded (?).
Can you help me?

I have tested all the possible versions of Office: 97, 2000, XP (and service packs). It fails in my PC (XP+SP2 with Office XP+SP3) dpending on the user: I can see all the images but fails when I change to another user. Perhaps, it will be problem of rights (but it does not seem).

'Rights' does seem the probably explanation. Right-click on the original image file and check [Properties].

It might also help to open the image and then save it under some other name and maybe a different format, if your software permits.

Does this apply to all images or just one set in particular?

If I copy the file on C: i.e., the local administrator (with no rights over the network) can read it, but not that user (also with local admin. rights).

Then it's really a problem about access rights, which is outside of my own knowledge. I suggest you post an inquiry at the XP forum.
