Hi,
I have a strange problem that has been happening on our Windows NT 4.0 Small Business Server(Hewlett Packard). Every time I try to empty the recycle bin I get this error:

Error Deleting File
Cannot delete DF2: Access is Denied.
Make sure that the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use.

After I click "OK" the recycle bin empties just fine, but it still gives me this error every time I click "empty recycle bin".

Has anyone had this problem before? I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why I get this error every time I click empty recycle bin. I have been to the MS knowledge base and have looked through this Q article (Q136517) but it doesn't seem to fix my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried chkdsk 'ing your drives. Go to command prompt
Do a CHKDSK c: /F /V to check drive c: etc etc. You will be asked 'Do you want to check your drives next time the system is booted' and say yes.
Then reboot. Note: Depending on disks this can take a long time so do this out of hours.

Try restoring the file out of the bin also....
And then deleting it, but HOLD the SHIFT key down before deleting.. this ensures that the file is deleted, and not moved to the Recycle Bin
