Hi,

I'm running Exchange 2003. One user, running OL2003 is having a weired problem. Whenever I or anyone else sends him a meeting request and he accepts it its entered as an recurring event in his calendar.
If he opens the meeting request everything seems to be fine but if he clicks accept and select "edit response before sending" it will say: "this event recures every tuesday" or whatever day...and is entered as such in his calendar.

It's only happening with this user - also when he sends meeting requests. Everyone else is fine. A new installation of OL2003 didn't fix the problem...so I assume it's exchange.
Any ideas...?

Cheers,
Andreas

Hi Sniper,

Did this! No success!
I got user to log on to another machine and open his outlook. Problem disappeared. But I can't fix it be re-installing his outlook....
User logs on to his outlook on his machine and he will get each meeting as an recurring event....

What's going on....????

Outlook /cleanfreebusy then outlook /cleanrules then outlook /cleanschedplus

See if that helps.

Hi there,

found a solution.
removed all software on the clients machine which shouldn't be there. Software like LimeWire, DVD stuff or even ActiveSync.
Then it was working fine again! I have the strong feeling ActiveSync did not like Office 2003 SBE....

Cheers

I've got lots of users with Office 2003 SBE running ActiveSync. I doubt it's a compatibility with that.
