Rectangle Control in Reports

Does anyone know an easy way (or even a complicated way!)to get a rectangle control to grow or shrink along with other controls on a report in Access 97?<br><br>I have to duplicate a legally prescribed form which has a number of boxes surrounding various bits of the form.&nbsp;&nbsp;The data is supplied through a variety of controls, including subreports, which all need to be able to grow and shrink depending on a person's Name, Residential address, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;And of course when one control grows or shrinks, the rectangle control is no longer the correct size.<br><br>Because of the number of controls in each section of the report, using the controls' border property is not an option.&nbsp;&nbsp;Does anyone have any ideas?<br><br>Thanks in advance<br><br>Lightning

Could you put each group of controls into a subreport and use the border(or whatever) property of the subreport control to give you the rectangle?<br><br>I have done things with putting the vertical lines on either side of the data and putting the horizontal lines in the header/footer sections.&nbsp;&nbsp;Don't know if that will work for you.<br><br> <p>Kathryn<br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= > </a><br>

Thanks Kathryn<br><br>That would work, but I would end up with about a dozen separate subreports in the report - very messy to maintain.<br><br>I was hoping someone might have come up with a solution to what I thought might be a recurring problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hopeful, I know.<br><br>If no-one else has a suggestion, this is my fall-back position.<br><br>Thanks again<br><br>Lightning
