don't know if anybody is familiar with ReCrystallize??

I use Crystal Web Component Server in ReCrystallize to set up reports. I am being prompted for the username and password when I try to view the report on the web. The database is Access2000.
First, it shouldn't ask for userid and password when I run reports on the web. Second, even I put in the correct userid and password (the same ones when I set up the recrystallize), I still couldn't pass through. I have to cancel everything so I couldn't view any report.

Any ideas?

Which version of CR are you using?
Are there any permissions problems from the client? Ken Hamady

CR 7.

I checked the permissions and don't see a problem. We could view the reports and contents fine in the CR, but not from the Web.

Thanks.

I haven't used Recrystalize, but this may be a more generic error.
The password message can also mean there is a problem connecting to the data. I assume the database has no security set.

Does it work if you use a browser installed on the server?
Can you run it from the design environment on the server?

No, the database has no security set.
No, it's not working when I run reports on the browser installed on the server.
Don't understand what you mean by "design environment on the server"?

Thank you.

The design environment is the Crystal Reports program. Is it installed on the server so that you can confirm that it runs from the server, meaning everything else is in place?

Sorry, I can't be of much help.

Access 2000 has separate drivers, any chance that ReCrystalize is using the old drivers?
