Recreating /var/sadm/pkg contents

Running Solaris 8 on a V880. The /var/adm/sadm/pkg/* was deleted. We do not back this up. Any way to recreate this. I tried to reinstall the latest patch bundle, but it gives all Return 8 and 25's.
