(1)I was wondering is it possible to recreate just a sharepoint site by simply copying the databases of one site (both mdf and ldf files) and to the SQL directory of another farm. There on creating a site pointing to the copied databases. I was able to do this, but I do not see the content of the old site.

(2) Extending this further, could you do the same for the config databases.

(3) What do you if a sharepoint farm crashes and you do have the backup of only the databases. Could you restore the farm?

(4) Lastly, if you have the backup of both the web and database components, could you do a complete restore and not have any issues. Will there be any issue if the web server and the database server were backed up at different points in time.

Please advice.
Thanks.
