Recreate SD card

I need to format and re-create an SD card on a 8.0 IPO. It's not something I've needed to do that often in the past. When I have done it before my version of Manager was the same release as the IPO I was recreating. Do I need to uninstall my current 10.1 Manager and install the highest release of 8.0 Manager to recreate or can I just set the binary files directory to 8.0 (I will download these from sso)?

Just change the binaries directory to the one directory with the needed version binaries in it.
You need to download and install the full manager R8 as you need a lot more files as only the binaries you download from PLDS.
Replace the current manager, sysmon and SSA folders into a new folder with a logical name and install the R8 manager.
