Customer has two recp. exts. 10 and 11 they are in two locations in the office away from each other one in the Recp. area and the one in the mail room. Only one actual staff member is using the sets they did this so she spends so much time in both locations.

I was able to copy the setting from 10 to 11 however when someone dials 0 it only rings at ext. 10 and the recp. does not know that someone in the building is calling her. Anyway to allow both sets to ring at the same time?

Depends on the voicemail.

You could set the Call Cover Rings for Ext. 10 to 1, then use Feature 20-10-11 for when the receptionist is in the mail room.

Add 10 and 11 to calling group 71 and then change your zero out in the voicemail to go to calling group 71.

Will the calling group option work for calls that are dialed inhouse as well when they dial 0,10 or 11?

no dial 0 always go to extension 10 but then if you use the cover option it will also go to 11, group call need to dial 71 (group 1) to 74 (group 4) internal only an option if the voicemail will transfer to the group,
DOWNSIDE calls to groups do NOT cover to voicemail any more and there is only 1 ring at the time that can ring on the group

If you can't be good, be good at it!

They are using an older PM 3.0 the one in the old metal box on the wall.

Then you can send the Dial-0/timeout calls to a calling group extension, but there will be no voice mail coverage if it goes unanswered.

And, in re-reading your question, are you asking about 0-out of the auto attendant, or someone in the building dialing 0 on the intercom?

BTW, if you want to go with the coverage option, put it on a button on Ext. 10, and turn it on when needed, off when not. If she goes to the mail room and forgets to push the button, it can be done remotely, although it is a manual process (can't be on a button on the remote extension)

Thank you for your help. Hear anything about Partner a new VM version that will support Centrex transfer option right from the users own VM boxes?
