Hi All,

My accpac DB suddenly gave the status of recovery mode,thus users cant use. What causes this and whats the solution.

Ver 5.5
DB msql 2005

Thanks

Something wrong with your db. Restart the server and see if it comes right, if not then you need to start trouble shooting.

Without being at the server, a guess would be that the server was performing some action, maybe an automatic backup, and encountered a problem, maybe insufficient space or log file is too large, and couldn't complete the task.

Not being an SQL expert, you could try stopping and starting the service to see if that makes a difference.

If at first you don't succeed, then sky diving wasn't meant for you!

@Bluejay -

Log files should never get large. Set the recovery model to Simple.

Out of disc space because of over sized log files is my guess....
Set your recovery model to Simple for all your SQL dbs and then shrink the dbs.

Or make sure you include the log files in your backup procedures. That allows them to reuse the internal space within the log.
