After a disaterous fire all I have been able to salvage from a remote server is a <name>.dat (71MB) and a <namelog>.dat (7MB) that were made from a SS7 database. Is there anyway to get/recreate these files into a SS 2000 database?

It might be time to call in the specialty recovery firms.

Bite down hard. Fire does some funky stuff with disk media and, in the end, you might be be faced with a decision.

Check the pricing and see if it is cost-effective.
