I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop model 2805-S201. My old hard drive (6.1 gig) completely stopped responding a few weeks ago. I replaced it with a new Toshiba 12 gig hdd. Now my computer's recovery cd will not re-load all of the programs that came factory installed in the old hard drive. The screen keeps reading "wrong machine", but all that has changed is the hdd. Can I fix this problem so that I can load from my recovery cd? I have loaded windows 98 from a different cd but it doesn't detect many of my devices or drivers, and therefore I am stuck running with 16 color display, an inoperative modem, an inoperative DVD function on that drive, and a slieu of other problems. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
