Recovery after server crash

Can the Transaction Log Flushing threshold be modified?
I get a Hardware/OS error (Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.)when running through the Recovery Manager process. Would this cause corruption in the databases as we are experiencing a lot of fixup tasks running? Any help would be appreciated...
