Recovering mailboxes

I currently have exchange 2000 setup to deliver mail to pst files because i know how to recover from them. However, i know that pst files are not the recommended storage for exchange.

Is it easy to recover mailboxes in exchange and can you recover just one mailbox or do you have to recover the entire information store?

Depends on your backup software - NT backup - NO, veritas with the exchange plugin 0 YES.

What scenario? Accidental mailbox deletion, or server(s) hardware failure/unrecoverable etc. etc. I would suggest following Landers advice and do a search. There's a plethra of info. out there
