Recovering Lost email in outlook 2007

Hi
A user says that he has lost an e-mail! from his oullook inbox 2007, He says he has a copy of it on the reply that he sent, but says I would like to find out what happened to it. He also says that he is sure that he has not deleted it, but it isn’t in my Deleted folder either.
Ho do i fault diagonosis as where it went wrong and how to find or recover the mail back

If just one random email is missing, and the user "didn't delete it," I'd more likely assume that he just accidentally deleted it - it happens.

Maybe go in thru OWA and use the Recover deleted function.
I think theres one in regular outlook 07 (Tools - Recover deleted items), but I think the OWA one works for sure.
Either way I'd place bets that if its not in either, then it didnt happen or it was was permanently deleted.

Or he may have even moved it, then its time to circle the wagons and start searching....
