Recovering Deleted Items from PST

Hello .. is there any way to recovery emails, after they've been deleted from the deleted items folder? These messages were in a PST file. The "Recover Deleted Items" Option is greyed out.

The Recovered Delete Items only works when the users email is on the server and the retention time has been set. If it's not in the users deleted items in their PST..it's gone.

TechRepublic ( had a article July 15th called "Recover deleted Outlook e-mail by corrupting the PST file". They corrupt the PST then use the Inbox Repair Tool to recover the file. I haven't tried it yet.
