Recovering deleted emails

I have a couple of yahoo accounts. I have recently closed one account. Are emails i have written/received on my personal computer under these yahoo accounts (closed or active) retrievable? and if so, how? i always hear how ppl are downloading programs on their pc's and finding old emails, deleted emails, chat logs, etc.... is this possible to do with a yahoo account or are they only recovering emails used on the outlook server???? also, does anyone know if old chat logs can be recovered from a closed yahoo im account... ??? thanks!

Unfortunately unless you had a keylogger connected to your keyboard (way unlikely!) those emails and chats are not available to your hard drive.

Yahoo! might be able to help, have you asked their tech support? Tell them you are with the PCIA (personal computer intelligence agency, I just made that up) and need to see those emails and chats...seriously try asking Yahoo tech support, maybe they can help. I'm sure this has happened before.
