My boss sometimes keeps 'important' email in the deleted items folder. Can you guess what I just did? right! I emptied the deleted items folder! and of course Murphy's law is in play and now my boss wants those emails asap.
I've got Norton System works going but I can't seem to make it find these emails. any other suggestions?

I ran a test some time back on deleted E-Mail folders from OE. An individual message is stored in a folder, the folder is actually a file on the hard drive, Inbox is Inbox.dbx, Deleted Items is Deleted Items.dbx, Drafts is Drafts.dbx, etc. Deleting the message from the folder moves it to another folder [Deleted Items], deleting from that folder permanently removes the message from that file. Unrecoverable. Deleting the whole folder becomes easier for Norton Utilities to recover [not Norton Protected Recycled Bin] because it is looking for a single file.
