While I was working on PDF files, all PDF files were not responding. Ctrl/Alt/Del - programs other than Acrobat Pro 9 were OK - Ended task for all PDF files.
After I opened those PDF files, those could not be recovered.

1) Is there any way to recover PDF files when the file is corrupted?
2) Does anyone suggest a utility program effective in recovering corrupted PDF files?
3) What are the preventive cautions or actions to do before actually corrupted? (Auto Save is set to every 1 minute)

I heavily rely on PDF files for paperless documents. Please share your resources with me regarding this kind of problems. Thank you.

This wouldn't directly recover corrupted pdf files, but you could give a general data recovery program a go to see if it can restore previous versions of the files, and go with that.

One free one you can download and try really quick is Restoration.

No install required, just download, run, and see what you get.

Restoration is a file undelete utility.
Do you know a utility program which can repair/fix corrupted PDF file with comments, etc.?

I did state that is what it is. The reason I mentioned it is that you may can find previous versions of the file(s) that way which have not been corrupted. It'd be a simple fix, and could be finished in a matter of seconds, or few minutes at most.

It could be that your installation of Acrobat Pro 9 is corrupted. Be sure you've been to and installed the latest patches. Or, uninstall the program, and install from original media, and THEN update with the latest. it could that your program, rather than your data files, are what's corrupted....
