Hi am using Excel 2003. I just spent 3 days creating a report for my CEO and saved it on my flash. I now try to ope it and I get that it is corrupt. I have no backup of this file on any other medium. Is there any way I can recover this file and its contents? Every thing else on my flash is ok except this one really critical document.

HELP!!!

I've had luck using Open Office to open excel files that Excel cannot open.

Open Office is an open-source office suite available for free download at
Once you've installed the suite, right click on the problem file and select Open With, then browse to Open Office's Calc (might be listed as SCalc).

Once it's open in Calc, Choose Save As and save as an Excel file (.xls).

It sounds convoluted, but it has saved me multiple times.
