Hi Guys

I was wondering if anybody has come across the error message "recover time exp" that has appeared at various times throughout the day on their wired (M7310 etc) & IP phones (I2002 etc) when trying to dial across H323 IP Trunks on a 4 site BCM network with 2 * 400's & 2 * 50's?.

I've asked a few of the Nortel teckies & one of them has suggested that the only thing was that a timeout has occurred before the call can be established.

I have tried looking through all of the PDF files that I have on Alarms, Error codes etc & even via Nortel at their Training centre in the UK at Maidenhead for help.

Would I be correct in thinking that there isn't a PDF file available, that displays Terminal "screen" error codes other than ones on the alarm extension?.

Hello SupportDude

Yes the error is vaild as the customer can't call over to one of their 3 sites via the H323 Link. I'm just trying to get a clearer answer to the message & also to find out if there is a document that lists out other errors that aren't in the NTP's.

Hi Guys

Anyone reading this thread may want to know that the problem was resolved. We are not certain what it actually was, but the "time & date" section was found to have been set to "Manual" on all four BCM sites in the customers V.O.I.P. Network.

They had ISDN 30 lines at all the sites & they were also trying out NTP to clock their systems a few Months ago.

What I've done is to alter all four sites to have the "Time & Date" clock to the "Trunk" setting. Since then, the problem seems to have stopped.

People keep telling me that the "Trunk" setting should only be used on analogue lines & not ISDN ones. I'm not sure if this is correct?. Any thoughts guys please?.
