I've foolishly deleted the contents of My Documents folder thinking that I still had the .qic backup file which I've also deleted. Upon deletion, neither were sent to the Recycle Bin because they were too large. Since recognizing my mistake, I haven't installed any programs to my h.d., but a few files may have been saved and/or copy-pasted. I don't currently have any recovery utility programs (that I'm aware of) installed. I have Windows 98 and a single hard drive. My questions:

1) Are my files still recoverable?
2) If so, will I be able to download (to my CD-RW)and run a recovery program such as Drive Rescue ( destroying my recovery chances?
3) What should or can I do if I shouldn't try running a recovery software?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
