Hi,
I´ve this situation:
Server: W2K Legato 6.1.1 Build 238
Client-1 : Linux Utah Build.MJFeral_8_11_98_SNAP
Client-2 : Solaris 6.1.1 Build.238

I want to recover a backup make in Client1, to Client2.

From Client-2, I do :
>mminfo -a -ot -r "level,savetime,ssid" -q "client=client1.x.x, level=full,name=/path"

Then when I´ve the information:

> recover -S ssid -s Server -d /mnt

At this moment legato display this error:

Recovering files within / into /mnt
recover: RPC error : Unable to receive
recover: falling back to old retrieve method...
recover: RPC error : Unable to send
Broken pipe.

I´ve tried with another machine, Sun, Tru64, W2K and Linux and the result is the same.

What happen, what´s wrong ????
Client2 have permissions for do this operation.

Thanks in advanced.
Toni.

Try putting a * in the remote access field on the remote tab of the client configuration you are restoring from client1
