Hi,

I want to pull an entire tape worth of calls to my Nice 8.9 platform.

When i use the Nice Query tool, although i can select multiple calls/channels, the calls are extracted one at a time to the tool, at which point i can play them.

What i want to do is recover the whole tape to the nice query tool at once and then remove the tape media, however doing a standard query means that the process would take too long.

I wondered if this could be achieved via a backup recovery function?

Thanks

It's a manual thing!!

Do not use Query, use the tape drive view (can't remember name) You have to put the tape drive in Retrieve mode, then insert your tape, then, when tape has loaded and the drive view shows 'Ready' you can view media contents. From that window there is a retrieve button. This will open up options that will allow you to select all channels and all date ranges on the tape. It could take a few hours to complete from that point.

For a full tape this will take several hours. I have seen it take most of a day. Pro-tip, clean the drives thoroughly BEFORE and AFTER attempting this, otherwise you risk the operation failing, and you're back where you started.
