Recover data from laptop disk 1

Hi,

Using windows XP.

My laptop has crashed and I have bought a USB hub and put the old hard drive in and connected up to new laptop. This works fine and I can get most data off it. I had however put user account security over my main directory and when I try to access this directory from the new PC get an access denied message. I have tried putting old disk directly into new laptop but hangs on booting even in safe mode.

Does anyone know of a way to work around this??

Hi,

Found solution to problem microsoft. Fairly simple just change security model. Refer to article 810881 if anyone has similar problems.
