I'd want to recover a mail from Exchange Server.
The user who sent or received this, deleted it from his recipient (sent, deleted and recover deleted items).

I'll appreciate some help you can provide me
thanks in advance,

Ariel
ps: sorry for my English, I'm trying to use it as better as can...

Double-check that the sender and the recipient(s) do not have the item in their Deleted folder. Check the dumpster (the "Recover Deleted Items") for both the sender and recipient. It's unusual that both the sender and recipient have completely deleted it, even from their dumpster.

But if is truly GONE, the only solution I know of is to restore from tape. I'm usign Exchange 5.5 and Veritas Netbackup 3.2. With these tools, you have to restore the entire Information Store to a spare server and pull the message(s) from that.

I do the same type of recovery process as you do only I use ArcservIt.

However, when I try to start the Information Store an error is returned. After looking through the event veiwer I find references to Log File damage. Does this sound like Exchange cannot play back log files? If that is the case do you have any suggestions about how to fix the logs.

Thanks

I have a faq with troubleshooting steps after a recovery.. it may help: faq10-2260

You may have to delete checkpoint files -- and use the eseutil .. all of that is in the faq..

If you like the faq.. vote for it... feedback: negative or positive is appreciated.. Alshrim
