I have a database of client support details, One of the 'view details' forms has a locked recordset and I'm not sure why... I have another form exactly the same as this (obviously just containing different data) and that one works fine... It is a bound form with a query as the record source.. does anybody have any idea why this may be happening? Any replies are appreciated!

Thanks,
Rebecca

Let me just add... when I say it is locked what I meant was that at the bottom when I try and type it says 'This recordset is not updateable' I haven't disabled or locked it myself. Cheers!

Thanks,
Rebecca

Thanks for the replies, I have actually eben through quite a few different articles and none of them seem to contain the reason why mine is not updateable! My query has a primary key and I have changed the relationships many different times to see if that was a problem but it does not seem to be. The query has no clauses in it, it is a simple select query and doesn't even have any criteria set. Oh and it's not read only!

Thanks,
Rebecca

Ok I have solved it myself now by trial and error, it was happening because one of the id fields in the query did not have it's related table in the query and when it was added it didn't have any related records in and therefore showed no records anyway which is probably why I missed it. Thanks for your help anyway.

Thanks,
Rebecca
