Recordsets or File DSNs?

I am doing a little research on Crystal Reports, and i was wondering which of these two methods (File DSNs or Recordsets) is the most effecient way to go? What are the advantages of each and the disadvantages of each? If someone could help me out with this, i would GREATLY appreciate it :) Thanks a lot and hopefully someone out there can give me a hand with this because I really need it! Thanks a lot! :)
