We have recently installed SQL Server 7 and Visual InterDev 6. We have setup a data connection in Visual InterDev pointing to a SQL 7 database on a local server. This data can be viewed and manipulated from within Visual InterDev, but when we attempt to add a recordset to a new ASP, the recordset properties show a red exclamation mark in each field with &lt;no choices&gt; available in each drop-down list. Any suggestions as to what we (beginners!) are doing wrong?<br>
Thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem where I was trying to connect to an SQL database that had a space in the database name. SQL server lets you create one, but VI and VB do not talk to it properly. <br>
I have raised the problem with MS, but have not had a fix.<br>
When I recreated the db without a space all appeared.

I had a similar problem when I i did some sort of upgrade. I was using an ODBC Data Source DSN instead of building a connevtion string. I had to re-do the connections in the Data Environment. Furthermore, I sharted using the OLEDB driver rather than the ODBC
