Hello,

I am trying to unsderstand why this is occuring with our program:

1- When we print a report: the opportunity appears and NOT the company name.
2- When we view the opportunity manager: the opportunity AND the company name appears.
3- When we view the individual record of that company: the opportunity DOES NOT appear.

Can anyone think of a reason this is happening?
Thanks,Sarina.

Thanks for the reply,

I'm not sure what you're referring to. However, we are using a dBase as oppose to SQL (if that is what you are asking).

Hi,

If it is dBase and data appears to be inconsistant then the first thing to do is some maintenance on your database.

But I am not clear what areas of GoldMine you are looking at;

with point 1, What report are you viewing?

with point 3, Would this be the Opptys Tab you are referring to?

Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply once again!

I understand that maintenance is an issue. I verified if there were duplicates, etc. However, there are discrepancies to which the records are in good condition.
Also, we noticed that most (not all) discrepancies occur to a specific user name who usually "syncs" information into GoldMine.

Now for your questions,
Point 1: I'm trying to print a report on forcasted sales by user.
The Layout of the report:
sort 1: calendar-rectype
sort 2: calendar-userID
Detail: The expression field is retrieving data from calendar(company name, amount of sale, probability of sale, etc)

Point 3: Yes, I am refering to the opportunities Tab. Although the company name exists in the individual record, the quote is missing from the opportunity tab.

Thank You,
Sarina

Hi

With regards to point three then it does sound like a maintenance issue with the Contact1 and OpMgr table.

Try a re-index in maintenance which is when you DO NOT place a tick in the Rebuild and Pack option.

Also try selecting the Individual Tables option in the maintenance wizard and select just the Contact1 and Opportunity Manager.

Repeat the above but do a rebuild as well

Hope this helps

Robert
