Records Management Module Event-based Query

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a Records Series Indicator which is Events based. We have managed to do this sucessfully with a Calendar Calculation RSI, as the Disposition Search picks it up correctly. With the Events based RSI it does not give the option of defining the trigger ie Date to use/modification date? Is this a glitch or should I be using another Rule Type. Anyone any idea how I can fix this.
