Can I purchase some equipment that will allow me to record conversations on our M1. I have seen some ads but the systems look like toys... are there commercial quality systems available? Is anyone using one?
There is a product called EDAC. It is a device you put in the phone closet. You loop your digital port through it via a 66 block. On the same 66 block you have access to a matching analog port that you attach to a recorder. It was made by DTI who was bought out by MCK who was bought out by who knows? It works out to a couple of hundred dollars a port and you build it for what you need. I get mine from TRCA.com...ask for MJ.
Not sure what a voice logger is vs a voice recorder. Does a voice logger record the conversation so that it can be replayed. I am looking at an application for a customer support center for a software product that will be used only by telephone companies in their central offices and by companies that provide services like prepaid calling. so the callers will be technical as will the people in the customer support center. the recorded calls with some details can then be forwarded to people to make software changes, used to help find std solutions when others call, etc.
But I am finding that there are a number of solutions the track the IVR path and the web clicks with the voice call and that could be useful to. Especially if my clients customer support staff can Timbuckto or get Remote Assistance and look at screens at the remote site together.
So far I have been looking closely at the Nortel IDVR and think the stuff from NICE and Witness is targetting mostly has huge call centers where lots of agents need to be trained and monitored.
Does anyone of any experience with the Nortel IDVR?
Where can I get someones thoughts and evaluation of the IDVR vs other products?
