Hi all,

Is it possible to record a call from the start?
i.e i want the greeting message in vmpro to included in the recording file.
I have server edition R11.0.4.2 with media manager.

I am no media manager expert by any stretch but I believe if you do the recording through the incoming call route instead of through groups/extensions it would record the entire call including the time in VMPro.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Hi Chris

This is not possible with Media Manager as it only records once the call is connected to a user.

The only way to achieve it would be to have an "in-line" call recorder like Oak Telecoms Record X, but still there would be two separate entries, one recording the Voicemail and one recording the user.

The question is why do you require this? What is the customer request? Hearing your own AA every time you listen to a recording will be a bit tedious, take up extra disk space(Not a lot, but still) and I'm not sure what useful information you'll get other than the mummblings of the calls as they wait for someone to answer.

Hi all
IPOLackey is right after testing i found no way to record the aa greetings it only records after the user answers the phone.
It's a bank and they asked if it is possible to include the aa message which says 'your call is recorded' in the recording.
