Hello,

Is there a way to record cell phones conversations? Our company has on call staff who deals with customers after hours. The customer care number gets forwarded to the staff on call who carry cell phone. Can the conversation be recorded?
Thanks in advance...

Thanks John. It's already a big help..

If your customer care number is call forwarded thru your PBX, there may be a way to record the calls from the trunks used depending on how the number terminates on the PBX.

Hope this helps!

If your PBX can conference the caller to the outside number, it could then possibly record the conference.
Some systems can record outgoing calls per ext. You would then transfer the caller to that ext, and call forward that ext to the outside number.
It would help to know your PBX type.

1. Record the o/g trunks and if you have cti you can set time of day recording and only to record specific extns (or all if you want).

or

2. Install a T1/E1 to your mobile carrier when the call is forwarded you will be able to record it on this trunk (only have to record 1 trunk instead of all) and you will get cheaper mobile calls with a direct trunk into your mobile carrier.

You will find that when a call is forwarded it does not go near the extn so any extn based recording solutions will not work, plus these will only record the extn if it is answered (off hook)

The best solution out there.

When I was born I was so suprised I didn't talk for 18 months
