Recording to VRL question

Hi guys!

Is there a way to record a conference to VRL w/o one X portal? I have multiple "set" conferences and those extensions *fwded to conference meet me SC* are set to record but i've noticed none are, they just hit the mailbox(Conference meet me instance).

If I set a manual button, could an internal user join the instance and "manually" record the conference via phone button?

yes. I am assuming that you have ContactStore/ContactRecorder installed and running, so recording to the VRL folder actually does something? The user would have to be set manaual recording = VRL.

FWIW, I believe the maximum recording length is now 5 hours (VRL into CR).

We have Xima running. But would manual recording work then? Auto doesn't as the calls go to "mailbox".

DID -> dummy ext fwd to Conference Instance. DID and ext are set to record but don't start recording. This is my last hail Marry to make it work. lol.

for the users in question, voice recording tab, what are the destination(s) in the auto and manual recording areas?

Another question. If a different DID is set to record (in ICR/voice recording tab, destination = VRL), or a user is set the same way, do the calls show up in the contact recorder interface?

I'm rather suspicious of the fact that the whole CR setup seems rather broken.

Voice recording is set to VRL folder on both DID and extension ends. Voice recording works as users have recorded calls appear when looked over but when searching for the conference call, the calls register and appear but there are no recordings for any.
