Hi

Is it at all possible to do this in VB ??
If so - what do I need ?
Is there a tutorial somewhere on the internet for this ?

I want a VB - program to run in the background , & if the telephone starts rinning , it must start recoring & after the conversasion is ended prompt me if I wanna save the file

Thanks

Christiaan

It is possible.

Saw a similar program in C, using a Soundblaster Card, about 5/6 years ago.

Try searching Soundblaster sites.

Good luck.

Be aware of potential legal implications. Recording phone conversations is regulated by law in the US and probably elsewhere. BlackburnKL

In the UK, you must produce a regular beep for the other person to hear.

That's incorrect. In the U.K. as long as one of the parties knows that the call is being recorded then it's legal.

If two people know, ie told beforehand, then yes it's okay. But uninformed recording must have regular audible tone for the other person to hear.
