Hello,

I've been trying to find a way to catalog spare numbers in our CM after our Conversion to Avaya. I am trying to find a way to be able to list all of the spare numbers without:

1. Using up a bunch of station licenses
2. Using an outside database that could not be updated and not be current.

One of our biggest problems is we do not have definitive ranges.

They should all be listed in the UDP after we ported the numbers but that isn't a definite.

Any suggestions?

I don't know how many spare numbers you have, but you could program the spare numbers as a VDN or a Virtual Station and label it Spare Unassigned Nbr or something similar. You would need to remove the VDN or station though when you need to assign the spare number to an actual device.

yes as a virtual they will not consume a license and as stated just label them as spare

Maybe I misunderstood , but you can run a report in ASA that will give you all the numbers that can exist based on your dial plan , but as yet are not administered , this can be sent to a .csv

ACSS (UC/SBCE/SM/SME)

Not that they mean a thing anymore , get a brain dump pass the test crash the system.

This is a process. First step is to get your provider to give you a list of all your DID's. Next you have a couple options. Using GEDI you can run a "find unused extensions report" and export this. You can also use a utility program called "Call flow extract" by Utilcall. This is a really nice program for making backups of your translations (extensions, VDN's Vector layouts (really nice). You can find them here.
