Is there any way of recording CP messages? A customer wants to record some messages in their inbox, is there a way to do this electronically and put them on a memory stick?

I would ask first what are they trying to accomplish, then what RLS CP, platform are they using. Our site has a Rackmount 1000rp rls 5.0. We use Sony Sound Forge to record prompts and then use app builder to import . To really answer question need more details. . .

we are using cp 4.0 on a 1002r. the customer has voicemail messages in their mailbox that they want recorded.

Do they have desktop messaging if they do set whoever up with Desktop messaging (HTML Client to their voicemail) then they can view/open messages via Desktop messaging. When opening the have the option of listening to or exporting to a wave file.

if you don't plan on using desktop messaging or mycallpilot then you'll have to go lowtech - connect a mic to the person pc, open up sound recorder on the pc, login into the mb, place the mic next to the speaker phone and play the message in the mailbox and press record on sound recorder. the file will be saved as .wav by default from sound recorder.

Do you have any Desktop messaging seats licensed if so simple to add to class of service then assign COS to person wanting to record.

I can't remember the name of the thing right now but we bought a doo-hickey that sits between the handset and the phone with a cord that goes to USB port on a PC and it will record any voicemail played. Low tech for sure. Makes a mono wav file you can do with what you want.

Not sure if it was this one (It was for the HR Director and she isn't here right now so I can't just pop in and look) but this is very simialr:

Be aware of laws regarding recording live conversations in your area. We only use it to record voicemail left on the HR director's phone - she would often get irate calls from less-than-gruntled ex-employees. Dummies knew they were leaving a message but did it anyway. I think we even had the option to save as mp3. Or we did converting in there somewhere.
