OK, so I have a company directory in my phone, someone calls in, they press # and then it asks to spell the first or last name of the person.

Is there a way to make the Company Directory voice recorded? For example, someone calls in and hears the professionally recorded message. "Hi you've reached us, if you know your parties extension please enter it now, press # for the company directory, thank you for calling."

Once they press pound, I would prefer that no one has to try and spell anyone's name. I'd like to have the company directory recorded verbally if possible. "Bob Jones, ext 100, for Sarah Jones, ext. 102, etc. etc. etc."

Thanks.

Its possible via CCR/Menu

How many people?

If its a hundred I am going hang up or press 0.

The whole idea of a company directory is so people can get to where the need quickly without listening to stuff they dont need to.....such as who is ext what.
If its 5 or so people then not that bad, any more I could spell the name faster.

I'm with Curly on that. You want your caller to get thru your VM as quickly as possable not only for their conveinience but to free up the line for your company. VM is an efecient company tool- but ONLY when used properly.

Hi all

Though it is not highly recommended, I want to do this, we have a limited staff and honestly typing a name for a company directory is a drag (at least I feel that way when I get to one).

Can someone tell me please how to create an Auto-attendant after hours greeting where I can say "For so&so press 1, for so&so&so, press 2" etc etc. AND not only say it, but set it up so that when the caller hits 1, they do go to so&so's voicemail

I know, you dont think its a good idea - but I really want to do it this way.

So help, please, please. ANyone? :)
