I am using crystal reports 2008. I have some letters setup in crystal using the same paragraph language for each letter with just the customer name and address changing for each.

But when I preview the file it shows all the letters including the ones with empty name and addresses.

What I would like to do is suppress the printing for any records that have no name or address. I have tried the report option of suppress for blank records but it does not help. The design layout is just report header&footer and Details A & Details B.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bruce

in the section expert -> suppress -> x+1
enter the formula

isnull({table.name}) or trim({table.name})=""

Excuse my experience but what do you mean by table.name?
My reports fields are in a table called Letters. So should
{table.name} represent {Letters}?

replace {table.name}'s "table" with the name of your table "Letters" in this case and the"name" with the name of the field, for example if the field is "FullName", you would use {Letters.FullName}
