Hi!
I read from someone's post that when creating a report it's better to get the parameter value for a query from a form rather than from a parameter query.

If I take this approach, do I need to execute the query using VBA or can I still refer to it in the Record Source property? Then how would I pass the form value to this query? Can I still use the Field List?

Thanks!

You simply add a criteria to your query under a specific field/column like:
Forms!frmYourForm!txtYourTextBox
The form must be open when you run the report. There is no code necessary for using this method.
