I have a form that is in datasheet view and the record source is a table. When I bring up the form and try to enter changes in a record i get - this recordset is not updatable. I have permission to do everything. It looks like all my datasheet forms are like this. Can someone tell me what I need to do so I can update and change these records.....These forms were upsized from Access97 to Access 2000 and then to AccessProject. Could this be the reason?

Thanks for your help!

Cathy,

Is this a view of only one table or is it of several related tables?

I figured it out....the table didn't have a primary key or indexes. As soon as this was done I was able to make changes. Thanks for your Response!

Hi,

Actually, it IS due to your upsizing. The upsizing wizard tends to lose the primary key from tables. It is this reason that the recordset isn't updateable.

Under normal circumstances, of course, you can update a recordset without a primary index or indices being created

Have a good one!
