What does this message in the footing means? This happend before the application started.

It means that the program tries to get a record that isn't available...
Do you have some source-code to show?

Rob.

Could it be the foxuser.dbf or foxhelp.dbf?
The application does not even shows the menu options...and I´m not using any dbf.
The message "Record not available" is in the same line as the INS and NUM.
It happened 2 times this month and the application is running since 1999.

See Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 93348 for some explanation, but it doesn't help much.

I guess you are right about the foxuser.dbf (and foxuser.fpt) files. Somewhere I read Fox locks individual records in a table, but uses file locking for memo files and indexes. So, if you update a record in foxuser.dbf and the system hangs up, then foxuser.fpt is not updated and you get the message described. Maybe somebody else can explain better this behaviour.

If this is the case, I would check to see if every user has its own foxuser.* files.
