Record locking information is appearing for a database that is closed. How do I unlock these records? How would the database be affected if I delete the .ldb file?

Hi

If the db is closed and the .ldb file is still there it suggests that a user has exited the database without closing down (ie Access has Crashed, user has turned off Pc without doing start/shutdown etc). No harm will be done by deleting the ldb file, and records will be unlocked. If this is a regular problem however, it may be worth investigating who is causing it and educating them, otherwise sooner or later a database corruption will result Regards
