how to avoid record locking in SQL server while querying through crystal reports? is there a way to insert with NOLOCK when we send a query?
Thanks in advance.

A query from Crystal shouldn't be doing an insert anyway, so I don't understand the question.

I generally suggest setting up a user account for all Crystal Reports that is a read only account.

I am not inserting the records.Reports are running against a production database and when the table is very large its locking the table.

Crysal does not have the No lock option available, and it does lock the database when using big tables.

a work around would be to use commands or Stored Procedures and write the (No Lock) in the Sql statement
