Record Directory Names?

I am a newbie in the process of setting up newly installed Partner Messaging R7 on an ACS R6 system. So far, I think I have gotten the extensions, etc. set up correctly, but don't see from the CD documentation how to record the names for the directory. Seems pretty basic but I can't find it!! Thanks in advance for your help.

Each user can do it when they set up their mailboxes or you an do it by logging in as the administrator and "modifying" the mailboxes.
