Record Count Number

Hi All,

I have 5 groups in my report and i need to insert record count for each group and as well for the whole report.

If i am inserting RecordNumber special field, it is picking up the record count as the count irrespective of the group.

Ex: if i have 4 groups A, B, C, D with counts 1, 1, 1, 1

then if i insert record count it shows the record count for A as 1
B as 2
c as 3
abd d as 4.

instead of record count of A as 1, B as 1, C as 1, D as 1

I know the special field recordNumber displays the record numbers irrespective of groups and subgroups.


So Please let me know if you have any ideas to display the count for each group.

You can right click on any recurring field in the detail level and insert a count at the group level. If you want to show the count as it is accumulating, then insert a running total that counts any recurring field, and reset it on change of group. Place the running total in the group footer. You would need a separate running total for the grand total.
