Record Count in Header/Footer in Transformer

The user wants to see the total number of records the report is showing in the header or footer

 
This is nothing you can do directly. A work around would be to add a calulated field to the Impromptu query. Make the value equal to 1, and then add up all the values in this field.

Kind of klunky, but it should the trick for you.

Right, Bruce.
Then:
"ctrl-click" on the 'totalled-value' and drag it into the Header area.
Then:
Delete the column of that calculated-field with the '1' in it.
It works pretty well.

 
thats for Impromptu though right, not Transformer
 
Both actually

I added the calculated field in Impromptu (I was using ver 5 at the time, which did not have calculated fields in transfromer), but then summed in transformer all the "1" s to get a number of records in Impromptu, & then in PP.
