So, I've figured out the call recording with F989 and we've used it successfully. The problem starts when we try to record a conference call. We get both parties on the phone, then press F989 and the display says 'no call' and nothing records. Any ideas?

I tried it also using the conference call feature and it says no call, but using the Link feature it did record. Hope this will help.

Cook1082 - If we can make regular calls and record them - and we can make 3 party calls - why can't we record them?

What we need to do is get 2 parties on the phone and then record the outcome. Any other suggestions on how to do this?

It re-orders dial tone on that line, feature 71 if it is available on that line.

Feature 71 = Link = Flash.

While on a call press feature 71 if you get dial tone dial second # then feature 71 and 3 parties are connected.

I don't get a dial tone. It is enabled, but I don't think it's a Centrex line. :(

Does not have to be centrex line just a feature on that line from your provider. Some call it 3 way calling, call your provider and explain what you are trying to do with that line.

My company won't pay any extra for 3 way calling - when we already have that ability via the "conference" button on the phone.

It should not be that much if you have it on one line only.

Better conference call audio levels and allows you to record via call pilot.

I tried to record the first call then tried a conference feature and the display says 3 party only. The voice mail is the third party.

I can't start recording until I have both parties on the line and have obtained consent - then I start recording and repeat that they gave consent and now I'm recording. (per our legal counsel). I guess I'm going to have to look into something else.
