This isn't a critical problem, but i don't seem to have an answer to fix it.
My customer uses 4 different information mailboxes in their CCR tree, which has been in place for several years.
They have decided to change the order of where the content of the messages appear in the tree and have made those changes on their own and changed the greetings in each mailbox, so everything on that side is working OK.
However, in the company directory, these still show up as their old name, which doesn't match their purpose. Not what you see on the display, but what you hear, when the mailbox name is announced.
When you log in to the info mailbox, where you could press 8 for admin (or press admin), then 1 to change the name in the directory, this doesn't appear.
so there doesn't seem to be a way to change the Audible name, on an info mailbox.
I don't want to delete the mailboxes and rebuild them because i would have to remove them from the tree first.a lot of work for such a minor problem.
I haven't tried going into the Call Pilot Manager with a PC, just via telset programming.
Does anyone have a solution?

You cant, there are no options aside from recording the actual info greeting.

-30 seconds to change Path/Node X's Trsfr option from XXX to your mailbox number, save and end.
-60 seconds to delete mailbox XXX and recreate it, consider recording the directory greeting as "Mailbox XXX" and under Name spell the name or the purpose.
-30 seconds to change Path/Node X's Trsfr option from your mailbox number to mailbox XXX, save and end.

That's 2 minutes per info box.

If you almost never change the actual greetings of these info mailboxes then consider using the CCR's built in INFO boxes instead.

Thanks for the reply.
OK, when you build and initialize the info mailboxes, you must record the NAME in the company directory, right?
it is there, so you must have to do it at that point, i would think.
i know it isn't really that much work to do, i could do it in my sleep, except the customer would also have to redo the 4 recordings.
i think at this point i would prefer to keep them as info mailboxes, as the customer does have to update 2 or 3 of the recordings at different times of the year.so this is easier for them than disabling and enabling the tree etc etc.
Yes, i also thought it would be better to name the mailboxes 500, 501, etc., to avoid this from happening again.
just another day in the life of a phone guy.
